About Jennifer Ebrecht
Tax, Law, and Strategy Aligned
I’m an international lawyer focused on tax and legal strategy, qualified in Argentina and currently pursuing my Solicitor licence in England and Wales.
People who know my career well say I was born into this work — and in a sense, that’s accurate. I hold a Master of Laws in International Taxation from Universidad Torcuato Di Tella in Buenos Aires, and I started my career where the rules are made: at the Tax Authority of the City of Buenos Aires. That public sector grounding shaped how I read structures — not just for technical correctness, but for how they hold up under scrutiny.
From there, I moved into Big 4 advisory firms, first at EY Buenos Aires and then at BDO International in Costa Rica, where I worked as International Tax Supervisor. Since 2018, I’ve worked remotely and independently across Latin America, the US, and the EU, supporting startups, founders, and investors through cross-border structuring, transactional risk, and international compliance, alongside private clients managing assets across jurisdictions.
I’m also the founder of Melber, a cross-border legal and tax consulting firm with offices in Buenos Aires, Gibraltar, Miami and London.
I created this site to share a clear picture of my work as an individual advisor, and to make it easy to connect when cross-border decisions require careful, defensible judgment. I work in English and Spanish.
What you can expect: clear scoping, structured written guidance, and practical next steps grounded in operating reality. When local execution is required, I lead the implementation and coordinate with jurisdiction-specific partners, ensuring the structure, documentation, and execution remain aligned end to end.
Working With Me
What to Expect
Clear Scoping
Every engagement begins with a clear definition of scope, objectives, and the jurisdictions in play — so you know exactly what is being addressed.
Structured Written Guidance
Output is written, structured, and decision-ready. Trade-offs are named clearly so you can act with full visibility of what is being chosen.
Practical Next Steps
Every engagement ends with clear, actionable next steps — not open-ended observations. You know what happens next and why.
Cross-Jurisdictional Coordination
When local execution is required, I lead and coordinate with jurisdiction-specific partners — keeping structure, documentation, and execution aligned throughout.

Ready to Bring Clarity to Your Cross-Border Tax Position?
Whether you are structuring, transacting, or reviewing, the right time to act is before the next decision, not after.
